Why access counselling?

People access counselling for a variety of reasons including stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, dependency/addictions, life transitions, relationships, parenting, past trauma or just to maintain healthy emotional wellbeing.

Approaches

Josie utilises the following approaches: brief interventions, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, stages of change in AOD and narrative therapy.

Josie focuses on the whole person, not the problem. Josie does not diagnose, rather assists in helping you discover your innate wisdom within and achieve a sense of freedom in how you approach life’s struggles.
